APEX reverse osmosis feature an in-line post activated carbon filter. The RF-1001 filter is loaded with dust-free coconut shell granular activated carbon. Coconut shell activated carbon has a vast microporous structure that is ideal for scavenging traces of chlorine, chloramine, gases and other contaminants that may slip past the other filtration stages. Coconut shell carbon is very clean and won’t release a burst of black dust into the water. The RF-1001 acts as a final polishing filter in reverse osmosis filtration systems. This final post-filter ensures that the filtered water remains refreshing as well as taste and odor-free. The in-line cartridge filter is disposable and is rated for 1500 gallons. The cartridge comes with Teflon tape and fittings for quick and easy replacement. The RF-1001 works with ¼” tubing and can be used with distillation equipment and other filter systems that require a replaceable in-line activated carbon filter.
