SCULE-750 Semi-Commercial Reverse Osmosis System

The APEX SCULE-750 filtration system does more than simply filter water. The SCULE-750 uses four stages of water filtration to create pure drinking water. The process starts by removing tiny particles like rust, silt and insect parts. This protects your family and prevents the filtration systems from clogging. Next, the water flows through two 5-micron activated carbon block cartridges. These compressed carbon block filters remove taste and odor-causing chemicals like chlorine, chloramine and rotten-egg odors. But that’s not all. Did you now that the chlorine disinfection process can create cancer-causing byproducts in the water? The good news is these carcinogens, called THMs, are removed by the carbon filters. The carbon cartridges also remove organic contaminants like herbicides, insecticides and industrial chemicals that seep into groundwater. The next step involves the reverse osmosis (RO) process.

Here water is “squeezed” through a special membrane. Heavy metals, like lead and mercury, are removed while purified water passes through. The RO process also removes salts, fluoride, radon and benzene. The best part is the water does not taste bitter or chalky! The APEX SCULE-750 makes refreshing water the whole family will enjoy.

The APEX SCULE-750 filtration system is pre-assembled can be installed with simple hand tools. We recommend installation by a licensed plumber to insure adherence to all local codes. Routine replacement of the filter cartridges is recommended to maintain filter performance. Replacement cartridges and ultra low energy membranes are available from APEX Water Filters.

What is a commercial RO water filter system, and how does it work?

A commercial reverse osmosis (RO) water filter system is a water treatment system designed for larger-scale applications, such as businesses, restaurants, and industrial facilities. It uses a process called reverse osmosis, where water is forced through a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities, contaminants, and minerals, resulting in purified water.

What are the benefits of using a commercial RO water filter system?

Commercial RO water filter systems offer several benefits, including:

  • High-quality water: RO systems effectively remove various impurities, including bacteria, viruses, chemicals, and heavy metals, ensuring clean and safe water for consumption or other purposes.
  • Improved taste and odor: By removing contaminants, RO systems enhance the taste and odor of water, making it more appealing.
  • Cost-effective: Investing in a commercial RO system can be cost-effective in the long run compared to purchasing bottled water or relying on other water treatment methods.
  • Versatility: RO systems can be customized to meet specific water quality requirements, making them suitable for a wide range of commercial applications.

What maintenance is required for a commercial RO water filter system?

Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the optimal performance of a commercial RO water filter system. This typically includes:

Periodic filter replacements: RO systems have multiple filters that need to be replaced at regular intervals to maintain their effectiveness. The frequency of filter replacements depends on factors such as water quality and usage.

Membrane cleaning: The RO membrane may require periodic cleaning to remove accumulated deposits and extend its lifespan.

System inspections: Regular inspections help identify any leaks, malfunctions, or other issues that may affect the system's performance.

How can I determine the right commercial RO water filter system for my needs?

Choosing the appropriate commercial RO system depends on factors such as:

Water quality: Assess the quality of your source water to determine the specific contaminants and impurities that need to be addressed.

Water demand: Consider the volume of water required for your commercial activities to ensure the system can meet your needs.

Space availability: Determine the available space for installing the system, as some models may require more space than others.

Budget: Establish a budget that aligns with your requirements, considering both the initial investment and ongoing maintenance costs.

Are commercial RO water filter systems energy-efficient?

Commercial RO systems typically require a certain amount of energy to operate due to the pressure needed for the reverse osmosis process. However, advancements in technology have led to more energy-efficient models. When selecting a commercial RO system, look for energy-saving features and certifications that indicate higher energy efficiency.

Can a commercial RO water filter system remove all contaminants from water?

Commercial RO systems are highly effective at removing a wide range of contaminants, including dissolved solids, chemicals, bacteria, and viruses. However, it's important to note that RO systems may not eliminate certain gases, some volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and certain types of bacteria or viruses. To ensure comprehensive water purification, additional treatment methods may be required, depending on the specific contaminants present in the water source.
